Limits of this check — read before making decisions

The check analyses only the public technical elements of your site that an ordinary browser can reach: cookies, scripts included in the public page, the accessible content of the privacy policy, the structure of forms and detectable connections. It is run without authentication and without access to the site's internal systems.

The check CANNOT assess and gives NO guarantee about:

processing on your servers (databases, logs);
contracts with suppliers and processors;
internal procedures for data, incidents and data-subject requests;
the validity of consents already collected;
cookies and scripts that appear only after login or a specific interaction;
compliance with other laws that apply to your activity.

A high score is not a guarantee of compliance and cannot be used as proof before the supervisory authority or the courts. The result reflects the site at the date and time of the scan; any later change may alter the picture.

Is the check really free?

Yes. The check and the on-screen result are free, with no account and no card. We ask for an e-mail only if you want the report by e-mail.

What do you do with my site address?

We use it to run the check. The full findings — evidence, the text of each issue — stay for an hour in the service's memory, then disappear. We separately keep a minimal summary (address, score, date) for 180 days, to track the tool's activity — no evidence, no detailed findings. We link it to your e-mail only if you tick that box separately when requesting the report. Details: the privacy policy.

Why request the report by e-mail if I already see the result?

Because it is a copy you keep: after an hour the on-screen result cannot be recovered. It is an automated report, not counter-signed by a lawyer — it does not replace an audit.

How accurate is the check?

Findings are technical and come with their evidence, so you can verify them yourself. The check cannot see what is not observable from outside: processing behind the site, contracts, internal procedures. The absence of a finding is not a guarantee.

My site got a very low score. What do I do?

That is the situation of many sites on a first check. Work through the findings in report order, starting with high risk. If you want a remediation plan, request a consultation.
